Recent migrants will often be given a guilt trip by native born Australians when they  express a desire for lower migration. This guilt trip should be ignored because all citizens of  Australia are entitled to all rights enjoyed by other Australian citizens. You owe nothing to  whichever party was in power when you migrated and owe nothing to anybody claiming to  speak on behalf of migrants. As an Australian citizen you can and should speak up. LMA’s  focus is on a lower migrant intake for the future, everyone who is here now stays. If you  work in transport, hospitality, retail, cleaning, hospitality or agriculture, simply reducing the  number of next year’s migrants will greatly increase your equity with your employer and  landlord. Low migration is pro-migrant.
